Chocolate Making (For Couples)

In London for a romantic break? Love chocolate? Fancy doing something different, providing you’re not a professional chocolatier? Well, look no further than one of London’s most delicious experiences – Chocolate Making!

What?

Really, when something is called a Chocolate Making Experience, it doesn’t need a huge amount of explanation of justification. Still, in case you’re not certain, here are the details.

Your experience starts with a quick introduction to chocolate and explanation of the chocolate-making process. After that, you’ll dive straight into the tasting. Yes, you read that correctly – the chocolate tasting! This isn’t any old chocolate either; these are some of Green and Blacks’ finest and most inspired creations and they are guaranteed to set your taste buds tingling.

Once you’re full of chocolate, I mean inspiration, you’ll move onto the best part of the day…the creation! Like a delicious Doctor Frankenstein, you’ll take molten chocolate and – using everything from marshmallow to coconut – you’ll create your very own chocolates, which you take home with you! Or eat there and then, if you really can’t wait and don’t mind the social awkwardness.

You’ll also get a chance to try your hand at making limited edition Green & Blacks chocolate, as well as cutting, dipping and decorating praline, before piping your own designs onto the top. If you can hold back from eating everything, you’ll be going home with up to 20 of your own creations, plus some Green and Blacks bars or massive chocolate buttons. You’ll even get to take home the recipes, in case you dare try again in your own kitchen!

Who?

Ideally, this is suited to couples (the clue is in the name). However, you can book as many individual places as they have available, or call to discuss a different arrangement altogether.

When?

Despite the obvious popularity a course like this, Chocolate Making for Couples only occurs on Sundays at 10:30, 14:30 and 18:30. The course lasts around two and a half hours though, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy yourselves!

Where?

The workshops are held in a gorgeous 1950’s style rooms in the very heart of the London.

From the Megaro hotel: from King’s Cross tube station, take the Piccadilly Line to Holborn, then change to the Central Line to Chancery Lane. It’ll only take about ten minutes!
